TYGART VALLEY HOMESTEAD ASSOCIATION: will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Homestead Community and Event Center in Dailey. All are invited and residents of the community are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Tom Rennix, President, at 304-940-1855.

REGIONAL ALLEGHENY FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY: will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the library of the IOOF building on Beverly Five Lane. For more information, call 636-1650 or 636-8528.

ELKINS-RANDOLPH COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY: will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the terminal building.

HOT DOG HOMESTEAD SALE / SUMMER MARKET: A drive-through / street hot dog sale will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Homestead Community and Event Center in Dailey. The combo consists of two hot dogs with chili / onions, chips, dessert and drink. Vendor Registration for Craftsmen, Antiques, Artisans, Direct Sales, Farmers Market, Flea Market, Pallet Merchandise, Garage Sale and others is open for the Outdoor Buy / Sell Market /trade. The event is sponsored by the Tygart Valley Homestead Association and the proceeds support the community center.

RETRO GAME DAY: Retro Gaming Day: Come to the Beverly Heritage Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for a full day of retro video games. Take a step back in time and try some of your old childhood favorites again. The good, the bad and the ugly – visitors have the chance to try them all. Free entry.

Pulled PORK BARBECUE: Will be hosted by Randolph Lodge IOOF on Saturday August 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the lodge on Beverly Five-Lane. Dinner on site or to take away will be available.

HARMAN HIGH SCHOOL REUNION: will be for the classes of 1969, 1970 and 1971 will be Sunday noon. The location will be at 8337 Seneca Trail in Mill Creek. For more information, call Jeff Cooper at 304-642-5555.

TOGETHER WE WATCH: Scottish Rite Masons of Tygart Valley and Applebee’s of Elkins team up for a “Together we care” event Tuesday, August 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the Together We Care menu will be donated to TV Scottish Rite’s Christmas charities.

RTI DE MAS: The Elkins Area Band Association’s annual Corn Roast will be held on Saturday, August 21 at Elkins City Park. Service will begin at noon and the meal will include a pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, roasted corn, dessert and a drink for $ 10. Participants will be able to listen to the Elkins Middle School and Elkins High School groups play.

RANDOLPH COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL: will be holding its August meeting on Friday August 27 at the Steer Steakhouse from 5:30 p.m. The election of officers and the annual memorial service will take place. LIVE ON THE LAWN: Join the Beverly Heritage Center for a free outdoor concert from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 28. With performances by Jesse Milnes and Reverend Rattlesnake. Bring your own chair and your favorite refreshments.

PICKIN ‘IN THE PARK: Pickin’ in the Park will be held weekly at Elkins City Park on Wednesday evenings, co-sponsored by the Augusta Heritage Center and Elkins Parks & Recreation. Country music jam sessions take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. or later in the Petit Pavillon. Old-school music jam sessions take place in the raised pavilion on Sycamore Street from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. or later. All acoustic instruments are welcome, as are singers, dancers and listeners.
