It’s going to be a busy 4th of July weekend in Clinton and Central counties.

Many events are planned for the next few days. In addition to family barbecues and fireworks in the courtyard, there are events every day.

Here’s a look at what’s happening this weekend:

friday july 1st

Outdoor Summer Concert – Jazz artist Dick Adams will perform at Lock Haven’s Triangle Park beginning at 6 p.m. The concert is part of the free summer concert series and will continue until 8 p.m. Haven. Admission to the concert is free.

Williamsport Crosscutters vs. Mahoning Valley Scrappers – The Crosscutters take on the Scrappers beginning at 6:35 p.m. at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. There will be post-match fireworks. For tickets, visit www.crosscutters.com.

State College Spikes vs. West Virginia Black Bears – After a week on the road, the Spikes are back at Medlar Field in Lubrano Park. There will be an 80s theme for its “The Strangest Things” night. For tickets, visit www.statecollegespikes.com.

Saturday July 2

Logan Fire Company Parade, Bellefonte – Take your place on the sidewalk and get ready for some candy! Logan Fire Company No. 1 will hold its Independence Day Parade beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday. The parade starts from Bellefonte Area High School west on Bishop Street, turns north on Allegheny Street, then west on High Street to end at Talleyrand Park. Anyone interested in participating can contact the company at [email protected] This will be the 48th parade after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 virus.

Summer River Concert – The Billy Price Band will take to the floating stage this weekend for a show at 6:30 p.m. The show is part of the free summer concert series. Sunday July 3

Car Cruising – If you love classic cars, Millbrook Plaza is the place to be on Sundays. The First Sunday Car Cruise-In will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harbor Freight parking lot. Free entry.

State College Spikes vs. West Virginia Black Bears – 4th of July Eve features baseball, the Human Cannonball and fireworks. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. For tickets, visit www.statecollegespikes.com.

Summer sounds at Parc Talleyrand — The acoustic rock duo Hops and Vines will give a free concert at Parc Talleyrand’s belvedere starting at 7 p.m. The concert is presented by the Historical and Cultural Association of Bellefonte. In case of rain, the concert will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St. in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.

monday july 4th

Central PA 4th Fest – For the second year in a row, the Central PA 4th Fest will be held at Penn State’s Medlar Field in Lubrano Park. There will be food, music, Human Cannonball and, of course, fireworks. The event starts at 4 p.m. The concert lineup looks like this: Joy Marie and the Gill Street Band (4 p.m.), Velveeta (5:30 p.m.) and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes (7:30 p.m.). Le Boulet Humain fires around 9:25 p.m. A fireworks display will light up the skies of the Center Region from 9:30 p.m. The price of admission to the stadium includes parking. The grounds are open to the general public at 7 p.m. Parking just to watch the fireworks is $10.
