George Arner Project Kicks Off Oak Glen Reunion With Show | News, Sports, Jobs

NEW MANCHESTER – The George Arner Project, a multi-star collaboration of many of the tri-state area’s top musical talent, will kick off the annual Oak Glen High School reunion weekend festivities on Thursday with an outdoor performance free, open to the public, at OGHS Stadium.

Conducted by trumpeter George Arner, the ensemble includes four Oak Glen graduates: Arner, class of 1986; Anthony Bernardi, drums, percussion and vocals, class of 1986; Brian Carson, bass, class of 1994; and Amy Woodruff-Dennis, singer, class of 1993.

In addition, the group will feature tenor saxophonist Eric DeFade, an Emmy-winning and two-time Grammy-winning talent, as well as guitarist Eric Joseph and pianist Mike Nelson.

Sponsored by MSL-Music & Art at Oak Glen, in cooperation with the Oak Glen High School Alumni Association, the evening’s festivities will include a Powder Puff students game at 5 p.m., as well as the annual alumni football game at 7 p.m. h 15.

The George Arner Project concert is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
