Details The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum, located at 295 West Avenue in Norwalk, CT, will kick off the holiday season on Wednesday December 1st. 8, 2021, 12 pm with a new exhibit called Holiday Enchantment at the Mansion, which runs through Sunday, January. 9, 2022. Nominated for the second year in a row as one of the ten Best Historic Vacation Home Tours In The United States By United StatesToday the Museum will explore the cherished traditions of the Victorian festivals of 1850s through the 1890 s. It will also feature beautiful 21stcentury-old Christmas trees and seasonal displays from acclaimed interior designer Victoria Vandamm from Vandamm Interiors and floral designer Danna DiElsi from The Silk Touch.

The exhibit, Holiday Enchantment at the Mansion, curated by museum consultant Stacey Danielson with assistance from trustees Mimi Findlay and Paul Veeder and the LMMM Conservation Committee, captures the magical excitement of the holiday season with historic era trees, vintage toys, exploration of the history of Christmas cards, a beautiful aesthetic movement festive dinner table setting and glamorous Victorian dresses.
