McDowell County officials are encouraging residents to get outside and be active with the McDowell Moves 2021 walk / hike event.

DOLLYWOOD FALL FESTIVAL RETURNS FOR ANOTHER YEAR WITH FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

The organizers are stressing, this is not a race! Just a simple, free, fun and easy event designed to celebrate and encourage the community to come together and be active after more than a year of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Participants are encouraged to bring the whole neighborhood, your family or just yourself for the community development activity.

There will be guided hikes in the Old Fort and Lake James, or you can follow your own path downtown, or in your own neighborhood, with the maps provided online at www.mcdowelltrails.org.
