Meek Mill to Donate $ 500,000 in Christmas Gifts to Families in Philadelphia

Meek Mill is bringing joy this holiday season with a huge giveaway event in his hometown of Philadelphia.

The Philly rapper on Monday announced plans to donate $ 500,000 in Christmas presents to families in need. Meek has teamed up with Philadelphia 76ers partner Michael Rubin, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and Roc Nation to host the event, which takes place on December 19.

According to a press release, the freebies will include: MacBook Air laptops, Amazon Fire HD tablets, bikes and helmets, video game gift cards, board games, winter coats, dolls, playsets, playing cards and gift cards, among countless other items. .

The announcement comes just a week after Meek teased the event on Instagram, writing, “We’re BIGGER than ever this year for the city’s youth!” Special thanks to Robert Kraft, @michaelrubin and @rocnation More details to come. ”

Beyond the holiday giveaway event, Meek will also make an additional donation of $ 30,000 to the Philadelphia Chapter of Twelve days of Christmas, a voluntary organization that makes donations to families in need during the holiday season.

Last month Meek announced that he was set to release the fifth and final installment of his Dream hunters mixtape series as NFT. The project is expected to be abandoned in 2022.

“#DCPOUNDCAKE LAST DREAMCHASER MIXTAPE AT NFT…. LOYALTY CLUB STARTS JANUARY 1, 2022,” Meek wrote on Instagram. “You can invest in albums and merchandising shows and get marketed.”
