Local community organizations in Milton, Oakville, Burlington and Halton Hills can now apply for funding from the Halton Region Community Investment Fund (HRCIF).

The HRCIF supports non-profit social service programs and initiatives that improve the health, safety and well-being of Halton residents. Approximately $2.1 million is available for new grants in 2023.

Funding is available through two categories.

The first category offers up to one year of funding, for a maximum of $30,000. Non-profit, charitable or unincorporated community organizations can apply to fund short-term, low-capital and/or innovative projects.

The second category provides up to three years of funding to registered charities for programs and initiatives.

Organizations that meet the eligibility criteria can apply for each funding category. The initial application deadline for both categories is Tuesday, November 1 at 2 p.m.
